This was sad. I feel bad for all the shelter dogs. I’m angry at the owners that get a pet and don’t realize what they signed up for. There are better ways than just abandoning an animal.
Ugh, this made me ugly cry. And hug my dogs. I also feel this could be written from a child's point of view, a child who doesn't understand why parents don't love them like they need. Hauntingly beautiful.
You were the one who shared a quote about love letters and dogs (although the original prose was not about that).
So I just thought that you'd have to read this, since the keywords match, haha.
On a serious note - these hit the hardest. Especially about dogs and their unconditional love.
If only dogs could write letters... then it's based on hundreds of thousands of true stories then. Millions even. Every year.
This... hurt. It was beautifully done and brought out the emotions it should from me.
Thank you for writing this. ❤️
We, as humans, want validation, yet some of us tend to destroy what makes us human.
Thank you once again for reading.
Save the tissues, my friend. I wrote another one (I'm an avid dog-lover). Coming Wednesday.
Oh boy. 😅
This breaks my heart and hits at a personal level.
One of my dearest loves was taken from me to the pound where she was later euthanized.
She was my rock. My cuddle bug.
She had gotten into a fight with one of our other dogs. And my mom tried to break up the fight and she turned and bit my mom.
The day my dog died was one of the worst days of my life. Cause I had to go to the pound and sign the paperwork.
They wouldn’t even let me be with her in the end.
I miss her so much.
Oh, that's just vile and evil.
I'm so sorry... 🖤
It’s bureaucracy.
And poor dog parenting on my part.
I wasn’t home enough for her.
It’s a long story and just a horrible situation to be in.
Satan had a field day that day.
You've been there. You tried. That's what matters. That's human. ❤️

So heartbreaking 😭😭😭
