Oh, this is fantastic the whole way through! Loved all the reactions and how viable that part of it seemed. The whole time I was nodding like, āyep, this is probably how weād all react.ā Great piece! Well-written and unexpectedly fun!
Kyra: āOkay but that was⦠two thousand years ago?ā
āYes.ā
āSo nothing recent?
So Netflix fully believes him, they're just not interested in stuff that's not recent.
And frankly, I don't buy that Netflix wouldn't try to market him as a potential Messiah to draw in the people that fully believed rapture would happen in September 2025
Although, who knows. Maybe he already came back and in 3 years a random youtuber will make a video about the lost Netflix documentary that ceased production after 2 episodes.
I was translating a quote by Yukio Mishima today and hesitated over the word āspirituality.ā I ended up rendering it as āinner world,ā because Mishima means something colder and more aestheticāalmost anti-psychological.
Reading āThe Second Coming,ā I found myself once again wondering what divinity, or spirituality, really means.
This is excellent. I've tried writing in a similar format and I'm impressed by how you've done it. It's cleverly done, engaging and a great bit of satire.
Wow! This is really great. Definitely kept me hooked the whole way through. Thereās almost a hint of black mirror vibes but it stays somehow more grounded. Had be intrigued the whole way through! Smooth cadence and lyrical storytelling!
Our secret is safe. Hahaha
š Iām halfway through and gotta do something else but will come back. Highly enjoyable! š
have you returned yet?
Oh, I forgot! Thanks for the reminder! Will try to do so today

Jesus Christ, I laughed really hard :D
Brilliant, hilarious, and depressingly accurate. Fantastic work.
This was phenomenal. Funny, bleak, and accurate online reactions. Jesusā second tweet as š¤¦āāļø! šš
I wouldn't blame him š
What makes this so fantastic is the sheer believability of it. I mean, itās absurdā¦but not the peopleās response ā that believable.
Great piece. Funny. Important. I liked it so much Iām gonna āshove itā at some people. šš
Haha this is amazing! What is duetted?

We never know who they marketed him as. Let's hope to not find out, haha.
True!
Although, who knows. Maybe he already came back and in 3 years a random youtuber will make a video about the lost Netflix documentary that ceased production after 2 episodes.
āYouāre a phenomenon.ā

One could be 'not religious,' but still 'spiritual.'
Thank you for taking your time reading this.
āSpiritualityā is tricky in English, I thought. I have to rethink everything.
Itās a very nice short story, Ellis, and Iāll reread it after my mind has cooled down. š«¶
I wouldn't dare to ask for a re-read. Takes time and effort, no matter how bad or good the prose is.
Iāll reread it. š«¶šļøš„ Boom Boom š„ šļøš«¶

I don't find it hard to write satire. Choppy, short, and simple sentences + some absurdity + reality = a ready piece, haha.
Full-length novels, however, are a different kind of animal. Still wrestling with those.
Thank you.
I'll be giving that a try! Good luck with your full length! You clearly have the talent for it
Really enjoyed this one, Ellis.
Nice work!
Thank you!
Ah, here I am, thanking the Machine again.
Oh, wellā¦
Don't worry, Ellis.
I'm considering changing my name to All-Human Machine Poet just to avoid such emotions.
Either that or perhaps 01001101 01100001 01100011 01101000 01101001 01101110 01100101 00100000 01010000 01101111 01100101 01110100.
Undecided.
Check out my new one when you have a chance. It's about my grandchild.
See? I'm roleplaying already!
Will do in a short bit! My feed is going crazy right now, a lot of new people.
It's all HVR's fault.
Most things are.
GNU HVR <3
Really well done - trenchant & incisive, andd with a really good sense of exactly how far to push things. Very entertaining too!

Oh great, even Jesus is better at social media than I am.
Brilliant! Bravo!
